Messier 20, Dean Ketelsen
Messier 20 is one of the few objects in the sky that demonstrate 3 different forms of nebulae - the red indicates hydrogen emission, the blue cloud is a reflection nebula, and the dark forms are dark clouds of dust and gas that obscure the background glow.  This nebula is often called the Trifid Nebula because of the dark channels that divide the glow into thirds.  This image was taken with an 11.25" diameter F/4 homemade telescope and a Canon 20Da DSLR.
